Monitrice Services for Hospital Births Retainer Fee
As a Monitrice, I offer a unique blend of compassionate doula-like support and skilled clinical assessment to help you feel informed, reassured, and empowered during labor. If you are having a hospital birth and want to labor at home as long as possible, my role is to bridge the gap between emotional support and clinical care—so you can focus on what matters most: a safe, supported, and positive birth experience.
Unlike traditional doulas, I have specialized training that allows me to monitor maternal vital signs, assess fetal heart tones with a doppler, and evaluate cervical progress, all within the comfort of your home. This allows you to stay in a familiar, peaceful environment longer—without sacrificing the confidence that comes with knowing you and your baby are being carefully monitored.
My services are ideal for:
Families planning a hospital/birth center birth who want early labor support at home
Individuals preparing for a VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean)
First-time parents seeking reassurance and guidance throughout labor
Anyone who has experienced a traumatic previous birth and desires both clinical oversight and emotional care
Those looking for a more hands-on, personalized approach to labor support
With continuous presence, skilled assessments, and advocacy throughout the early stages of labor—and supportive transition to your birth venue—I aim to offer calm, confidence, and continuity during one of life’s most transformative experiences.
The retainer fee is due upon contract. The remaining balance will be paid via payment plan over the course of care. The remaining balance for payment is $1,500.00 Acceptable forms of payment are Zelle, Venmo, Cash App, Cash, Check, HSA/FSA.
